Medical Lab Scientists/Technicians Backbone of the “lab” MLS – bachelors' degree with certification MLT - associate’s degree with certification Some states require licensure MLS Perform in all levels of lab, including management MLT Perform most routine testing, operating equipment, assist with problem solving
