Career Education “The Best Kept Secret” All Programs are College Prep $3,000 Tech Prep Scholarship to Sinclair Earn College Credit at no cost to the student/parent Students gain valuable experience in a particular career field Straight A’s on the State Report Card

Career Education = College Prep  The Miami Valley Tech Prep Consortium (MVTPC) works with 29 area high schools to create seamless career- technical education programs that begin in the Junior year of high school and continue through an associate degree in college and beyond.

Tech Prep Scholarship Students who meet the following requirements are eligible for the $3000 scholarship to Sinclair: Earn a cumulative high school grade point average of 2.25 their junior and first semester (or equivalent) of their senior year. Complete the high school Tech Prep program as designed and continue the same Tech Prep program at Sinclair Community College.

 Students have the opportunity to earn college credit at no cost through Sinclair:  Articulated Credits  Quickstart Class (CCP) - Sinclair professor teaches the class at CHS  Credit through proficiency exam Earn College Credit

Career Tech Programs :  Tech Prep programs stress mathematics, science, communication, and technology.  They also emphasize teamwork, hands-on learning, work-site experiences, critical thinking, and problem solving.

Career Exploration  Career Education programs provide intensive career exploration and give students basic knowledge of a particular career pathway.

Co-Operative Learning  Students learn to work with a group of their peers drawn together by their interest in a particular career pathway.
