Collaborative Events / Local Partnerships BII / IOH CIPD /IOH Thrive /IOH STA / IOH Midsummer Conference Geographically challenged and under-resourced resource to cover events across Scotland – one third land mass of UK Fellows Dinner Scottish Parliament 12 Nov 2015

PR/Social Media IOH Scotland Web Page Linked In Twitter Lack of continuity focused local resource for Scotland

Membership is still a challenge 978 members/fellows/affiliates etc members/fellows/affiliates etc 2013 Membership Year%Decline%YoY Jul Jul Jul Jul Jul Jul Jul Jul Jul New Membership Office – Tony Ginda

What are we thinking 20015/16 Membership decline – unsustainable Survey about to be undertaken Current IOH Model unsustainable – Clear Re-positioning as voice of tourism and hospitality managers/supervisors for Leadership and Management Chartered Institute for Tourism and Hospitality (CITH) – Is that a more relevant re-positioning? Head Office to Centrist / Autocratic - decentralise Lack of regular consultation – Education/Membership More regular pro-active discussion CEO/Chairs More Vision from HQ for IOH Scotland which outside London is the second largest Hospitality & Tourism hub in UK New local paid role in Scotland - Employee in Italy (Editor Hospitality Magazine) – Sets the Precedent Create Northern Powerhouse – decentralise an official/s from London base (16) to create sales / PR roles

Going forward What we need from you the members Support for change More active team member to join the Business Management Team Change focus of Business Management Team from Edinburgh Ongoing feedback & ideas Thank you to Nick Stansfeld who is leaving the BMT after 12 years great support
