Top 10 Most Frequently Cited Serious Violations in FY 2015 Presented by: ETTA, OSH Division, Construction

Objectives In this course, we will discuss the “Top Ten” most frequently cited serious Construction Industry Violations for Fiscal Year (FY) 2015  Top Ten list includes data about citations/violations issued from October 1, 2014, through September 30, 2015, in North Carolina

Fall Protection Number 1: Fall Protection – Residential Construction  Provide employee fall protection when 6 feet or more above lower levels (b)(13)

The record must contain the name or other identity of the employee trained, the date(s) of the training and the signature of the person who conducted the training or the signature of the employer (b)(1)

Summary Number 1: Fall Protection – Residential Construction  (b)(13): Employee protected 6 feet or more above lower level in residential construction. Number 2: General Safety & Health Provisions  (b)(2): Accident Prevention Responsibilities: Provide frequent and regular inspections of the job sites, materials, and equipment by competent persons designated by the employers.
