Goals and Purpose  Goals of alumni and student programming at Northwestern.  Opportunities to be involved.  Programming for all alumni and students (Chicagoland and beyond).  Cultivate meaningful relationships between alumni and current students.  Provide alumni with engagement and networking opportunities.  Provide valuable support and guidance to students as they navigate career interests. 2

NAA & NCA Next Steps  Northwestern Network Mentorship Program  Online mentorship platform connecting alumni mentors and student/alumni mentees.  Provide engagement opportunity regardless of geographical location.  Data Tracking and Utilization  Better data gathering and informing future programming.  Destination Survey  To make informed decisions about industries and markets.  Sophomore Internship Program  Identified gap in career development.  Student Menu of Opportunities  Mirror networking and mentoring opportunities for students. 14

Recap  Define Goals.  Develop partnerships.  Who within your division will you include?  How will you incorporate others into decision making process?  Develop a communications plan.  Program timeline and division of responsibilities (NEXT example).  Coordinate marketing and communications plan to promote, share progress, and recap event.  Recognize alumni and student volunteers.  Track data and develop an engagement pipeline for sustainable success.  Define how you will measure success. 15
