IAS 2.1 Enhancements ► Extensibility - New version of UserDefined object and new extensions!! ► Scalability ► Internationalization ► Integration with InTouch and InSQL ► Licensing enforcement

Extensibility - New UserDefined Object simplifies configuration and application structure ► UDO availability:  As base template in IAS 2.1  As an.aaPKG file to be imported into IAS 2.0 ► Seamless migration of current UDO to new version ► Provides Discrete and Analog Field Attributes with powerful built in functionality

Extensibility – Improves process and alarm data management ► New Extension!!! On/Off labels for Boolean attributes ► Enhanced Alarm Extension On/Off State for Alarm trigger String text for Alarm description ► Alarm Ack from scripts in IAS

On/Off labels for Boolean attributes ► New extension for Boolean attributes 64 Characters Max.

ON/OFF labels for Boolean UDAs ► Used in Animation Links Motor101.Msg reflects state of Boolean

ON/OFF labels for Boolean UDAs ► Used as Value and limit in AlarmView ► In InSQL  Can configure to be historized in History extension

ON/OFF state for Alarm trigger ► Define the Alarm State

String Text in Alarm description ► No UDAs required for Alarm description Attribute.DescAttrName contains Alarm Message and is writeable at runtime

Acknowledge Alarms from scripts ►.AckMsg as Writeable_US ► Alarms can be programmatically acknowledged from InTouch or in IAS scripts

Single Node Configuration – Provides support for pilot and small OEM systems ► Main FS components supported on a single node configuration.  Industrial Application Server – Bootstrap, IDE and GR  InSQL Server  InTouch  IO/DA Server

Internationalization ► Support for Industrial Application Server components in Japanese, Chinese, German and French, OS and SQL Server. ► No localization

Touch Points – Tighter integration with InTouch and InSQL ► InTouch  Alarm filtering Query Alarms at Object instance level XV101* and you get ALL alarms associated with that specific instance

Model View In InSQL Namespace ► Automatically created ► Based on deployed system Deploy Model View In InSQL Namespace

Licensing Enforcement ► New license required for IAS 2.1 ► Support for smaller versions of FS DEV systems  FS DEV 250 IO, 2500 IO, etc  A FS DEV license is required on the node running IDE and WindowMaker 2. IDE and WindowMaker browser can connect to Galaxies with same or smaller IO count. FS DEV license IO count >= Galaxy IO count ► FS Dev TS sessions enforced

And last but not least – Continued support of existing systems ► Fixes to issues found in IAS 2.0

Summary ► Flexibility and productivity ► Extensibility is the key…a lot more coming in future versions ► Tighter Integration with other FS components
