Editing Text

. Select the text to be replaced

. Type the replacement text

. To view the text, click outside the text block

–  To Delete Text

Using the Mouse:

. Click inside the text block where the text is to be deleted

. Press the [Backspace] key to delete any characters to the left of the insertion point

. Press the [Delete] key to delete any characters to the right of the insertion point

. To view the text, click outside the text block

Using the Mouse:

. Select the text block

A dotted border displays around the text block.

. Press the [Delete] Key

Moving and Copying Text

–  To Move Text

Using the Menu:

. Select the text to be moved

. Choose Edit, Cut

. Position the insertion point in the new location

. Choose Edit, Paste

 To Copy Text

. Select the text to be copied

. Choose Edit, Copy

. Position the insertion point in the new location

. Choose Edit, Paste –  To Move a Text Block around a Slide

Note: Pressing the [Shift] key whilst dragging a block constrains it to moving horizontally or vertically only

Formatting Text –  To Change the Font –  To Embolden Text –  To Italicise Text –  To Underline Text –  To Add a Shadow Effect to Text –  To Change the Text Colour –  To Change All Text Enhancements Aligning Text –  To Change Text Alignment Line Spacing –  To Change Line Spacing Format Painter

The Format Painter is a feature that allows a user to copy formats from one Text box to another and transfer it to another. The Format Painter copies the formats from the current selection and paints them onto the next selection.
