“Attitude – a person’s predisposition to behave in a particular way”

 Introvert – most aware of his/her inner world  Extrovert – characterized by the outward movement of psychic energy  The two are opposing yet complementary (yin and yang symbol)

1. Feeling 2. Thinking 3. Sensation 4. Intuition

1. Extroverted Thinking – science/math 2. Introverted Thinking – philosophy/theory 3. Extroverted Feeling – business/politics 4. Intro feeling - critics 5. Extro sensing – wine tasters/proofreaders 6. Intro sensing – portrait painting/classical music 7. Extro intuitive - inventors 8. Intro intuitive – surrealistic artists  A person is not (usually) defined by just one. According to Jung, a person only makes significant use of 2 of them.

 The meaning of a person’s dreams is completely up to them  By discussing what is going on in your life, you can interpret dreams  Dreams consist of seven symbols that represent your inner self

 Persona – the image you present outwardly  Shadow – the deeper elements (suppressed feelings; dark, unknown, troubling)  Anima/Animus – represent a man/woman’s true self as opposed to their “masks”  The inner male/female  Men have one anima while women have an animus constructed of several parts  Begins with infant projection onto the mother, then is used to find a long lasting relationship

 The Divine Child – true self in purest form, innocence, vulnerability  Wise old man/woman – represented by the helper in a dream  The Great Mother – appears as the nurturer in a dream  The Trickster – keepings you from taking yourself too seriously, makes you feel embarrassed, uncomfortable
