Preparations for Fall 2015 meeting in Honolulu Joint Meeting with A-5 and A-6 and AMS CE&P

Why are we going to Honolulu?  One of our Strategic Goals is to be more international  We have been going outside of North America every four years since 2002  We have desired to have a meeting in Asia due to the major aerospace business going on there  The logistics and expense to have a meeting in Asia has made it not work out for our committee  Honolulu is a great alternative for our regular attendees and to attract Asian participants  Both A-5 and A-6 are celebrating major milestones 100 th meeting for A-5 75 th year for A-6

Symposium – Emerging Asian Aerospace  MRJ Regional Jet Mr. Daitsui Yamaguchi – Flight Control Actuation and Hydraulic System Title: Engineering Manager, MITAC, Flight Control System & Hyd System Design Team  For each presentation, we are arranging a corresponding Tier 1 Supplier to co-present with the Asian customer  For instance the MRJ Regional Jet may have the following participants: Hydraulic System – Parker Aerospace Flight Control System – Nabtesco High Lift System – UTAS Landing Gear System – Sumitomo Precision Products (SPP)

Celebration of Service to Aerospace  We will have a one hour celebration meeting followed by a celebration dinner One guest of participants are also invited to this event  We have arranged for Richard Greaves to be our keynote speaker for the celebration meeting. He will be the 2015 SAE President, the first from Aerospace. He currently works at Meggitt.  The A-5 and A-6 Chairmen will each give a history of contributions that the committees have given to the aerospace industry since their inception

Cost Benefit of A-6 in Hawaii  This is a regular meeting and will have all the same meetings as usual, plus with the added benefits of simultaneous meetings with A-5 (Landing Gear) and ability to meet Engineering Leaders from Asia in one convenient location  The costs are in line with our North American meetings and significantly less than our typical non-North American meetings (which this one replaces to satisfy our desire to connect with Asia)
