This is an enjoyable game played by children and teenagers in Anatolia. What you need is speed and intelligence.

Material: only a handkerchief

The players are divided into two groups.

There must be minimum 20m - maximum50m distance between the two groups.

Before playing the game, a refree and a person to hold the handkerchief are chosen.. The refree places the handkerchief holder in the middle and draw a circle around him. Then he asks the players to stand in order in each group.

Handkerchief holder holds the handkerchief high.

When the refree commands, one player comes from each group and catches the handkerchief and run away so that he can take it to his group. The other player must catch him and take the handkerchief.

If they come near the handkerchief at the same time, they engage in a cold war and look for each other’s distraction. They try to distract each other with their look, gestures and speech. They are not allowed to cross the borders of the circle.

One tip  Pretend as if taking the handkerchief.  If the opponent is mislead and crosses the border, he loses one point.  If one of them catches the handkerchief and starts running, the other must pursue him. If the runner can take the handkerchief to his group, they get one point.
