How do we communicate? Receiver translates message back into idea Message Speaker's idea translated into words

We communicate in three ways…  Verbal  Vocal  Non-verbal  What percentage of our message is translated by each? Guess!

 Verbal - 7%  Includes words, word choice, and descriptive words  Vocal - 38%  Includes rate, tone, intonation, volume, stress  Non-verbal - 55%  Includes gestures, eye contact, appearance, body language
