What’s our Capstone project? Our Capstone project is developing the ‘Saudi Students Club In UIW”, and creating new Version in English language. Also, we transferred and translated some data from the Arabic to English Language format.

Why did we choose this subject? As an important aspect of developing the connection in the community, is to find the easier way that might be more helpful and globally socialized in order to engage many thing into one direction, which can provide professionally functions and services to the students in tow languages: Arabic, and English. Also, adding new services to the Web such as, E-market, learning Arabic language, create new database for the students and their majors to make easy connection with each other, provide new services for the new students like picking up from the airport and register into the website easily. Adding Newcomers guide about the City of San Antonio and the common academics concerns.

The Goals Upgrading the Capacity from the Hostage. Provide many services such as E-market, Picking up from the Airport, Volunteering with SSC, Learning Arabic, Helping the newcomers to UIW and San Antonio by Uploading a Guide for the City of San Antonio and the common Academic concerns. Make it more socialized by welcoming the None Arabic Speakers to use the web and be a member of the Club. Create new database for the students and their majors to make easy connection with each other to share the experiences and find the right answers for their concerns.

The Difficulties Managing the work between the grope members. Getting the approval from “SACM” as an organization belongs to the department of social and cultural affairs in Saudi Cultural Mission. Collecting the ideas and analyzing them to find the right and most helpful ideas, which can be developed by any other members whom might work for the Club in the future Finding the right tools we have needed to develop the old web with no interruption and missing any part of the old database and the articles. Estimating the cost and the time was a part of challenge.

The requirements Install ‘Word press’ software script to customize the Website. Install “WPML” to change the format from English to Arabic. Translate the articles and all the phases to English Language. Get the Website reviewed and approved all the contents we add from “SACM” after we finish the project.

The group preparation We have made our plan and separate the work between the group members to avoid interruption and have the work done before starting forward steps. Keeping on track with the milestone as much as we can. Schedule weekly meetings to make the changes and add new ideas if needed. Keep “SACM” updated as well as we required to do so. Fixing the issues and try to avoid further issues that might apply to any changes.

Final result of the Project

Conclusion As conclusion to our project, we believe that the technology has become important to most of people in general, and more importantly to the students abroad. We have worked hardly to achieve the high level of professions and provide the most needed services that may be helpful to UIW community.
