Heather Yamour is an experienced and versatile writer who started her career interning for major media organizations including the Washington Post and AOL before making the jump to a Foreign Correspondent position for one of the highest ranked newswires in the Arabian Gulf -- the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA). Following her passion for International Affairs, Foreign Policy and the Sociology and History of the MENA region, she completed graduate studies at the University of London’s School of Oriental and African Studies, where she conducted ethnographic research on the history of Iraq’s diaspora communities. Since returning to Washington D.C. in Spring 2015, Heather Yamour has moved on to more challenging assignments as an independent contractor and is looking for full-time work where she can leverage her strong writing, analytical and cross- cultural communications skills in the media industry.Heather Yamour
