YOUR GARDEN Pretend you want to start a community garden in Fresno Where do you want your garden, include a map (Google map) Measure your garden, how big is it? How many plots will you include? What are the size of the plots? What are you going to grow in your garden and why? Will you have areas that are not food, such as a BBQ area or sitting area? Will you have different types of plots for the elderly or handicapped? Will you have trees? Measure and provide a detailed to scale drawing of your garden!

The Math Geometry is everywhere around you. Where is the Geometry in your garden? There is a spreadsheet for you to make a copy of into your Google Docs account. –You will fill out this spreadsheet and write a complete sentence about where in your garden you will find this kind of Geometry. –Make sure your explanation INCLUDES THE DEFINITION so that I know that you know what it means!! Supplementary Angles – “There are lots of places in my garden where you will find a supplementary angles. There are lots of places where I have right angles and any 2 right angles add up to 90 degrees.” End Points – “At the end of each garden plot edge is the end of the line segment. These represent end points.” Line – “While a line extends infinitely and I do not have infinite lines in my garden, the walking path could be considered a line since in theory you could keep walking straight.”
