Assignment – Create a Business Plan – Proprietorship or Partnership – Only 2 partners per business – Grading Rubric will be delivered when we return from Thanksgiving.

Generating Ideas – A business needed in Pendleton County – A business using your own personal skills & talents – A home-based business – A service business

Examples: – Concession stand a local games – Child Care – Yard Care – Web page developer – Shopping services for seniors – Pet care – Delivery services – Consignment shop – Jewelry making – Auto Services

Remember a business plan is… – a tool to help find and explore opportunities. – A way to analyze potential opportunities and idea. – Is personal and should never be “canned” or prepare professionally by others.

Questions to start off with – How can you describe the business, in only one paragraph (5 sentences) – What is your product, or service? – Who will buy it? Where should you locate the business? – How can you attract customers? What is your competition? – How much should you charge for the products or service? – How will you split the profits? Who is responsible for the losses? – How much money is needed to get the business started?

Written Business Plan – Business Introduction – Business Summary – Organizational Matters – The Marketing Plan – The Finance Plan – The Business Image  4 paragraphs  200 word minimum  Must be typed:  Times New Roman  12 point font, double spaced.  Submitted online  Template is available for you to use.
