Duram Mask is a pocket size personal mask, designed to provide respiratory protection for quick escape in emergency situations involving toxic air Product features

Escape “Philosophy” The keys to survival are immediate protection and rapid escape. Any individual can find himself exposed to toxic air emergency situations. It can happen at any time in any place. Toxic air can be caused by fire smoke, chemical leakage or Chem/Bio attack.

RULES OF BEHAVIOUR IN CASE OF EMERGENCY Use the gas mask as shown in the instructions Check the area where you are for open exits and try to find the fastest and safest way of evacuation from the area of emergency You must evacuate immediately from the danger area to a safety zone Remain as low to the ground as possible – toxic air rises Do not return to the danger zone Immediately contact the rescue authorities reporting your location and state of health On arrival at a safety zone, remove the mask and seek first aid if required THE PROPER USE OF THE GAS MASK CAN SAVE YOUR LIFE Purchase and Storage The gas mask is sealed in a vacuum The shelf life of the mask is 5 years Store mask in an easily and quickly accessible area Do not store where damage can occur (i.e. walkways etc.) Do not store in heat or high humidity (e.g. in rain, on top of engines) Check the gas mask at least once a year for rips and faulty seals We recommend where the mask is used in areas of high risk, or where damage can occur (i.e. sharp tools and edges) that the mask be checked prior to and after each shift

WARNING Put the gas mask on as shown in the instructions on the packaging The gas mask is for evacuation purposes only in the event of an emergency The gas mask gives protection for a short time – at least 15 minutes The gas mask is designed for one-time use only Evacuate from the danger zone to a safety zone immediately · The gas mask does not provide protection from long term exposure to high temperatures or open flames Do not enter a building full of fire and smoke Do not use the gas mask as a fire rescue aid Do not use the gas mask in an atmosphere of oxygen deficiency – the mask does not supply air The gas mask does not provide protection from carbon monoxide Do not use in children under 12, or people suffering from chronic respiratory illness Be careful not the damage the mask with sharp tools Do not use if the mask is faulty The gas mask is vacuum sealed in a multi layer bag Do not use if the seal is faulty Stop use of the mask if you feel a choking sensation or experience breathing problems – continuing use may cause damage to your health Do not use after the expiry date indicated on the packaging The visor is covered in a special coating against vapour buildup – however condensation may still occur and prevent clear vision Glasses should be removed because using the mask as condensation may build up on the lenses quickly Tie up long hair to enable maximum sealing protection
