In the Future Correct forward planning at the start can provide ways of making money in the future, by: Allowing additional applications on your cards and terminals foe other peoples cards. Using the chip (a computer) with the terminal to provide additional functionality. Combination of more than one application onto a card and terminal. Lower card costs Opening up new channels, NFC, mobile POS, Wallets, ApplePay etc.

In what Areas For the Acquirer the terminal and ATM can have more uses than just payments. Allowing cardholders to use multiple applications. E.g. Moscow City Card, Social Security, Metro and payments. Processing and holding data for the additional applications. E.g. Health data authorising injections, clearing the treatments carried out daily. There are limitless opportunities. E.G. US card with 80 additional applications available
