The Emergency Response Network was created in 2003 to quickly respond to urgent requests from local nonprofit organizations seeking financial aid for women and girls in crisis situations. To date, 67 women and their families have received over $40,000 in emergency assistance. Women's philanthropy at work.... womensgivingcircle.org Journey Camp for Girls In partnership with the Maryland Leadership Council, WGC sponsors rising 8th and 9th grade girls to attend this overnight camp focused on leadership, empowerment, self-awareness and decision-making skills.

In 2011, in their inaugural year of fundraising, they awarded their first grant for $601 to Girls on the Run of Howard County.
