ONLINE COMPONENT AFL Junior eLearning ( Introduction to Auskick Role of the Coach Conducting a Typical Training Session Teaching Football Skills to Children Conducting and Umpiring a Match 1.5 – 2 hours Complete eLearning and print certificate and show to facilitator Or if you are having trouble with AFL course, complete Australian Sports Commission ‘Beginning Coaching General Principles’ course which is available online at
ASSESSMENT Attend all sessions and have paid for course Please let facilitator know if you have any physical or health complaint before attending practical sessions Complete Police Check if required AFL Coaches Code of Conduct signed by coach, coordinator and presented to RDM Complete Online Junior Coaching Course Coach to develop a training session Practical coaching component – choose one skill, drill, activity to demonstrate to the group
ACCREDITATION Upon successful completion of course you receive 4 years Level One accreditation from the AFL Your details are inputted into AFL Coach Database and you will receive coach card around 6 weeks after course Please ensure you have an address You also receive 4 years Membership to your local AFCA Branch With this you receive local newsletters and are invited to seminars and workshops After 4 years you can go through re-accreditation process which costs $85 for another 4 years
