Help and support There are three ways to access the IT Service Desk: 1.Find answers to common questions online, Call the telephone support line, Visit the walk-up Service Desks in the main Library and Joule Library for face-to-face support
Finding a PC on campus There are more than 3000 computers on campus and in halls of residence. To find your nearest cluster: Look for the PC cluster icon on maps and around campus Visit and also see how busy the clusters are.
Most undergraduates and postgraduates on taught courses have an Outlook Live account, giving you: 10GB to store your University s and; 7GB online space in SkyDrive, for personal files
Printing A print account is created for you during IT Sign Up. You can credit your account online via ePayments system or; via touch-screen payment kiosks in PC clusters. You can print from a PC cluster and; in areas such as the Library, wirelessly from your own laptop.
Saving your work Your P: drive is a secure 200MB storage area for saving important work files. access it online from your own computer or; by opening ‘My Documents’ when you are in a PC cluster. If you have a University Outlook Live account, you also have 7GB online storage for personal files in SkyDrive.
Software If you need additional software for your academic studies: provides information on the software available. the Electronic Software Delivery System, is a web- based software delivery service that lets you download site-licensed software for your course.
Library Services At the University Library you can access e-books, e-journals, databases, websites and reading lists to help you with your studies or research. Access your Library account online, to renew or reserve books, pay fines, book group study rooms or book a place on a training course.
