Ladders: A leading contributor to injuries –Every day, nearly 2,000 people are injured while using a ladder. –In 2009, the construction industry experienced 5,300 injuries directly related to falls from ladders. (NSC 2012 Accident Facts) –20% of construction fatalities from falls are directly related to the use of ladders. (Bureau of Labor Statistics 2012) –Average cost of a fall related workers’ compensation claim: $40,043 (NCCI)
