SCHOOL FACTS HISTORY, THE CITY, STUDENTS

A LITTLE BIT OF HISTORY The beginning of our school was on September 1, 1980 when our area was opened a new, large building, Elementary School No. 15, where school from a neighboring area moved. First director of our lower secondary school was Stanislaw Misterkiewicz, since 1991, this function is served to Mrs. Henryka Tomsia. Now since 2007 Krystyna Fizia took this position. We are a school open to Europe and the world. The projects collaborate with schools in Austria, Greece, England and Italy

RYBNIK – OUR CITY Rybnik is the 25th largest city in Poland, and is 380 km from Warsaw, 111 km from Krakow and 52 km from Katowice. It is situated in the south-western part of Silesia. Rybnik is on m above sea level. Rybnik is located on two rivers – the Nacyna and the Ruda, both eventually flowing into the Odra. To the north of the city and to the north-west of Katowice is the Golejowska Highland. The climate in Rybnik is mild with an average annual temperatures ranging from 7˚C to 8 ˚C.

CLASSES We have a special language class, where we can use a headsets. With them we can hear each other.

We also have a computer room. It contains ten computers that use the programs: Microsoft Word 2007, Corel Draw X4, Gimp and the Internet, of course:)

EXTRA ACTIVITIES FACULTIES, ARTS

Faculties - take place on Tuesdays at the seventh and eighth lesson. This is activities where we can improve the test or learn addition. Arts – take place on Thursdays or Fridays at the seventh and eight lesson. First grade have a choice: o computer graphics o vocals o dance o drama o playing on instruments
