YAC Mission The University of Florida's Young Alumni Program was established to identify the needs of alumni who are under the age of 35. Our mission is to strengthen the Young Alumni connection to the Gator Nation and dedicate programs that would be of interest to young alumni, such as community service projects, career networking, travel opportunities and social activities.

What is the YAC? Goal - to offer a greater variety of activities to young alumni, raise awareness about the UFAA and increase this group’s participation within the Gator Nation The YAC members serves as a liaison among: The UFAA Board of Directors The Local Gator Clubs® The Gator Club Young Alumni Coordinators/Chairs The YAC members meet: 2 times per year Participate in monthly conference calls The YAC also contributes to the content and implementation of: Generating UFAA memberships A Young Alumni E-newsletter Creating a mission and goals for the council Planning of future programs and events

Event In A Box Speed Networking Dinner with 12 Gators Boxes will be sent out in February Items will include: business card holders notepads pens travel mugs

Speed Networking Gator Speed Networking is building upon the success and positive feedback we received from young alumni about "Swamp Swap" business card exchange, but this time we added a "twist". The "twist" is that we are combining the business card exchange from the Swamp Swap with the more one- on-one substantive interaction aspect from speed dating giving your participants a more personal network-friendly event.

Dinner With 12 Gators Dinner with 12 Gators is a student program sponsored by the UF Alumni Association that pairs students with local alumni, parents, faculty, staff and friends of the University for small dinner parties. These events have typically been offered only in Gainesville. We thought this would also be a great addition to our young alumni program with a few modifications. The idea is to create a more personal setting to bring fellow Gators together in a warm, friendly environment for networking, conversation and Gator camaraderie.
