Module 1 4 th November, UIDAI Unique Identification Authority of India UIDAI was notified by the Planning Commission on 28th January, 2009 as an attached office under the Planning Commission UIDAI will be the regulatory authority managing a Central Identities Data Repository (CIDR), which will issue Aadhaars, update resident information, and authenticate the identity of residents as required.
