Georgia Technology Authority Asset Discovery Process 12 9-Jun-16 Goal  Implement Microsoft ACT4.1 to execute an asset discovery across all network connected client systems  Advertise ACT4.1 for 5 business days for each client system  Utilize collected data to scope transformation efforts and reduce duplicated effort Expectation  Acquire a representative sampling of application and hardware data for analysis Plan for Implementation 1.Determine distribution mechanism (login script or application distribution system) 2.Create share giving write access to any user context executing ACT4.1 3.Copy ACT4.1 executable (collect.exe) to previously created share 4.Distribute ACT4.1 execution command to client systems using the following sample syntax (\\server\fileshare\collect.exe /t 14 /o \\server\fileshare /q)
