Written Offers of Aid Written offer of aid cannot be provided until Aug. 1 prior to the PSA’s senior year. To receive written offer, PSA must be: Registered with Eligibility Center Added to team’s Institutional Request List (IRL) Please inform compliance of the prospects that will be receiving written offers of aid. Please provide us with any current letters that you use for written offers of aid in order for the language of the letter to be approved.

Additional Information Unofficial Signings Any PSA who is not receiving a grant-in-aid may not sign an NLI. Please see the compliance office if you would like an unofficial letter to be sent.

Camps/Clinics Compliance needs to know about all camps/clinics! Need background checks for all involved. Need insurance Unless the clinic is a fundraiser for VU VU insurance will cover this

What can I do with old uniforms? To be able to give old apparel items (warm-ups, uniforms) to student-athletes prior to the end of their college participation, the items must not be reusable (normal wear through practice/competition from team members in prior seasons). At the discretion of the institution, the apparel may be considered property of the S/A and may not be sold by the S/A. A S/A may retain athletics apparel items (not equipment) at the end of the individual’s intercollegiate participation.

Counting Days During defined championship or nonchampionship segment, each day counts excluding: Required days off (1 day per week) Official vacation, holiday and final-exam periods when no practice or competition occurs This does not apply to basketball or football. Baseball and softball are not affected by this during their nonchampionship segment.

Counting Days Example When two days are given off (free of any countable athletically related activities) in one week during a championship or nonchampionship segment, one of the days will still count towards the team’s playing season. If Golf provided two days off during either their nonchampionship or championship segment, six of the seven days would still count towards the 144-day maximum.

Practice Logs Use Daily Activity Codes (W, P, G, M) Use time of day (Noon – 2pm P, 2pm – 4pm W) Designate a responsible S/A to sign the practice logs each month. S/A must sign in the compliance office. Turn in to the compliance office ASAP – without S/A signature! Reminder- Last practice day for out-of-season sports is Friday December 7 th, one week before the start of finals!

Winter/Spring Sports Compliance Meeting Tuesday, August 28 th 7:00-9:00pm Villanova Room Cannot begin practice until the 1 st day of school – No meetings the weekend prior!
