Font Families

Roman Fonts have small cross-lines or feet called serifs are easy to read used in books, magazines, and newspapers

Sans Serif Fonts means “without feet” is simple and straight forward used with cartoon graphics or in headlines

Square Serif Fonts has block or rectangle in shape serifs is considered to be masculine Square Serif fonts are hard to read in small point sizes.

Text Fonts are used to create feelings of medieval times never use in all capital letters

Script Fonts produce a feeling of handwriting and are feminine easier to read in large point sizes never use in all capital letters

Display Fonts can’t be put into the other groups is known as occasional or display font are funky and are never used for writing in books, newspapers or magazines is used in most graphic design projects
