What is Internal Quality Assurance? Internal Quality Assurance is defined as a set of policies, procedures, systems or processes to ensure that the delivery of assessment is consistent, valid, reliable, sufficient and robust within the learner journey – IQA’s making improvements where possible IV function was to authenticate assessors’ judgements, monitoring assessment within an approved centre, verifying decisions against the standards, reassessing! Changes to Regulations The regulations and requirements for Internal Quality Assurance have changed For example: Regulatory Arrangements for the Qualifications and Credit Framework (2008) should apply e.g. Awarding Organisation can impose their own QA C & G Quality Assurance Requirements, NVQ Code of Practice is now obsolete if your qualifications have migrated to the QCF!
