Enterprise Oracle Solutions Template Editor - Description  Allows users to create and edit FSG templates on their desktop using Microsoft Excel  Creates a basic template from an existing FSG Definition  Provides a menu containing:  A list of all valid tokens that can be used in the Template  A list of all rows and columns that exist in the FSG Definition  Functions to move line items left and right  Option to Upload the Template Revised:June 2009 Report Manager/SROAUG Presentation 16

Enterprise Oracle Solutions Template Editor - Benefits  Create or Edit Templates more easily  Excel provides a more structured layout which is conceptually easy to work with  XML Publisher compatible Templates  Format your FSG Report output using a familiar tool  Users are familiar with Excel functionality  Use standard Excel functionality to edit your Template  Centrally store Templates for shared use  No need to distribute theme xls files as with locally stored Request Center themes. Enterprise Oracle Solutions Template Editor – Step 2 Revised:June 2009 Report Manager/SROAUG Presentation 19  The screenshot shown below shows the Excel Template that has been created by the editor for you to modify and upload.  You can modify the above template as per your requirements. You can format this with bold headings, color, picture or company image etc.

Upon clicking on the upload sub menu, a pop up will appear asking user to provide a name for the template and other upload parameters.

Enterprise Oracle Solutions Template Editor – Step 3 (continued) Revised:June 2009 Report Manager/SROAUG Presentation 21  As in the above screenshot you will get two check boxes.  The first one is for overwriting any existing templates with the same name. If you check this option then the upload process will overwrite any existing template with the same name.  The second check box is for enabling drilldown for this template. In case you want to drilldown from your FSG, you need to have a drill-enabled template. We will discuss this in a subsequent topic.  Check both the above said boxes as per your requirements and click on “Upload” to upload to server.

The repository location is mentioned when submitting the report itself or you can do so from Repository management later.  Shown above is a screenshot of the Repository Management. You will see two buttons at the top left hand side of the page: Archive and Delete. These are used for archiving and deleting the reports once their immediate requirement is over.
