What is ERP ?  ERP is short for E nterprise R esource P lanning.  ERP is business process management software that allows an organization to use a system of integrated applications to manage the business.  ERP software include product planning, development, manufacturing, sales and marketing. 2

ERP Modules ERP systems are made up of many different software modules. Each of the modules in ERP module is specialized to handle specific business processes :  ERP supply chain management  ERP customer relationship management  ERP product lifecycle management  ERP project management  ERP human capital management  ERP warehouse management  ERP financial management  ERP order management  ERP inventory management 3

What is the objective of ERP ?  Speed : it is defined as the time taken to implement the ERP system in an organization  Scope : RP should consider and include all the functional and technical characteristics required by the organization.  Resources : Resources are everything that is needed to support the project. This includes people, hardware, systems, software, technical support etc.  Risk : Risk is defined as the factors that resists the overall success of ERP implementation  Benefits : Benefits are the extent to which the company uses the functions of the ERP software 4
