Chipping hammer For use of removal of slag and spatter in SMAW / FCAW processes.

Steel wire brush For removal of debris / slag from welds.

Striker For use of ignition of fuel gas Oxy/Fuel process.

Shade #5 welding goggles For eye protection from ultra violet rays in Oxy/Fuel process.

Compass For use in drawing circles on steel or other materials.

Inside Diameter Calipers For measuring the inside diameter on holes in materials.

Calipers / Dividers For layout of circles on materials and determining measurements between points.

Pipe Wrench Used for tightening round or smooth edged material. Adjustable mouth for various sizes. Length of tool on handle.

Slip Joint Pliers Adjustable jaws for different sizes. For holding materials or tightening.

Vice Grips Turning hex and square nuts and bolts that are rounded off. For holding materials that may be hot or that need held in one position. Lock type grip.

WELPERS Pliers have multi use. Used for removal of contact tip. GMAW Cutters/ needle nose.

Side cutting Pliers Mainly used for cutting soft wire. Head shaped for close cutting in tight areas. Also know as Dyke’s

C-Clamp Vice Grips Mainly used for clamping material for welding and cutting process. Head shaped for inside tight areas.

Phillips Screw Drivers Used for Phillips type screws. Come in various sizes.

Center Punch Used for marking points on material. Laying out circles with use of calipers/compass.

Chisel Used for cutting material with blows from a hammer. Removal of debris from steel material.

Half Bastard File Used for removal of materials in layers. Abrasive face and applied pressure removes material.

Long tapered round file. Used for holes or non square surface. Rat-Tail File

Flat Bastard File File shape is flat. Abrasive surface on each side.

Allen Wrenches Used for tightening hex head bolts. Wrench inserted in bolts instead of outside.

Level Used for establishing plumb of materials. Come in various lengths and sizes. Smaller level called torpedo level.

4 ½” Angle grinder Used for removal of materials which changes thickness. Grinding discs are interchangeable. Grounded plug

Welding magnet Used for holding material that is magnetic in place while welding. Fabrication tool.

Bolt Cutters Used for cutting non hardened material. Cuts wire and some bolts.

Dead Blow Hammer Exterior of hammer made of rubber. Filled with sand or lead. Will not leave indentation in material.

2 ½” lb Steel hammer Smooth face hammer. Used for heavy applications.

Ball Peen Hammer Light application. Used for smaller hand work.

Twisted Wire Wheel For use on steel material for removal of weld debris and surface oxidation. Fits 4 ½” grinder

Blemish Wheel/ Sander Removal of surface debris 4 ½” grinder

Cut off Wheel Used for cutting material and removal of root pass on multi pass welds.
