Foundation of Jamestown December 1606 – Susan Constant, Godspeed, Discovery – 105 men – Know as the Virginia Company of London Virginia Company: a group of private investors to establish a colony that hoped to convert Native Americans to Christianity, and return a considerable profit in gold.
