Special Project Applications UCC Societies Guild

Special Projects – What They Are The aim of Special Projects is to encourage creativity and new or unusual events. In order to be eligible for a Special Project it should be a new event for the society. If it is a collaborative event even better (not a requirement but societies can come together to accomplish great things)

Special Projects – What they are not! AGAIN! They are not events that have been done before by the society. They are not annual events. They are not a way to apply for things that we would not normally fund. They are not a way to apply for an international trip – that is a separate application process.

Past Successful Special Projects Feed the 500 Event – Enviro Soc Fed approximately 720 students one lunchtime with perfectly good food that would otherwise have gone to the landfill.

Art – St. Patrick’s Day Entry Art Soc – St. Patrick’s Day Parade Entry Designed and crafted costumes for the first ever UCC entry in the Parade, engaging with the wider community

Things to Note In your application; Give as much detail as possible Provide a detailed cost breakdown If possible, provide an event schedule Detail the benefits of the event Submit the application on time! Deadlines are set at the start of each academic year.
