Common Features of Faculty OA Policies  Faculty members retain the copyright to their work/articles and can turn copyright over to a third party, such as a publisher.  University is granted the non-exclusive right to post online for open access  Faculty are encouraged to avoid - or request to modify - publishing contracts that prohibit open access posting.  A single repository service is often specified as the official dissemination site for the faculty works [e.g. ScholarSphere]; can deposit the same content elsewhere (disciplinary repository, personal website, etc.) – non-exclusive distribution
