Quick story. Our school (as institution) is over 100 years old (113 now). It started in 1902 in small house, with only two classrooms and a room for teacher. A few years later, the „old school” was built (left one). The second building was opened In 1931, and year earlier we received our school flag. Now there is a school of leather manufacture, nicknamed ‘’skórzanka‘’ We know you may not be able to say that, so try saying skoo-jan-ka :D

New building was built in a project named: „1000 schools For The 1000 years of Poland” and is ‘’containing‘’ School Unit number 17, that are: our Gimnazjum number 81 and Elementary School number 56. School Patron is Tadeusz Rejtan. More here: (polish)

Lessons. We have lessons from Monday to Friday, from 7.35 to or even 16. We have around 15 subjects and about 7 lessons a day. Lessons are 45 minutes long, with minutes breaks between them. Here’s a little dictionary of our subjects: (short version - polish - english) ja. - j ę zyk angielski – English jn. – j ę zyk niemiecki – German jp. – j ę zyk polski – Polish wf. – wychowanie fizyczne – PE fiz. – fizyka – Physics hist. – historia – History mat. – matematyka – Maths rel. – religia – Religion geog. – geografia – Geography chem. – chemia - Chemistry biol. – biologia – Biology nz/z – nie-/zaawansowany – not-/advanced (languges) zaj. art. – zaj ę cia artystyczne – Music/Art. (depends on what you choose) wd ż – wiedza do ż ycia w rodzinie – subject about things like family, honor etc. wos – wiedza o społecze ń stwie – subject about law, politics, taxes and stuff like this g wych. – godzina wychowawcza – lesson with class educator, about class problems and other class stuff

School plan and classroms. This is satelite picture of our school. We have some green space around and 2 courts: bigger with 2 goals and smaller for basketball and volleyball.

School plan Gimnazjum is on last floor of building. We have 6 main classrooms (29-33 & 37), We also have separated staircase and a small school shop.

Classrooms All classrooms (except 36 and 35) are in the same size, and each have a projector with board for it. Each class (also except 36 and 35) can hold about 35 max people. We also have a library one floor lower; dining-room, locker-rooms and computer room on the lowest floor.

Corridor This is our corridor, connecting all the classroms and both of staicases. (also we don’t know why the black line in middle is appearing, so sorry for that)

Sport halls We have 2 sport halls, big and small next to each other. Between them there is a room for PE teachers. View from the main (right) staircase, showing the big hall.

Big hall The biggest ’’classroom’’ (because it’s not) in the school. There can be played every sport, because it have goals, baskets and poles for volleyball. It can hold even 3 classes, but usually only one is using it. Also every bigger school ceremony takes place here.

School ceremonies There are some more important ceremonies taking place in our school (mostly connected with it).
