FYI A majority of ATS (55.8%) admitted having BOC apprehension, with ONLY 17% ever taking an online athletic training practice exam INVEST, INVEST, INVEST!!! The BOC offers multiple Self-Assessment Exams in a study mode (5 75 questions) and/or test mode Once you have completed the test, it analyzes your strengths & weaknesses The NATA offers MEMBERs a BOC Exam study guide

Role Delineation Study Panel of experts Frequency of tasks Examination question evaluation process Type of questions Weighted how?

Plan of Attack DO NO procrastinate! Know how YOU study Get your hands on the following 1. Arnheim – cover to cover 2. Position statements – over a dozen. Considered our :gold stand” of practice/procedures Mini orthopedic eval. book Exam review books (sharing is caring) Have an accountability buddy/study buddy Create a real week-by-week study plan (based on your own assessment) or perceived strengths/weaknesses DO NOT compare yourself to previous test takers You are prepared as you have made yourself

Plan of Attack Resources Role delineation study BOC website – test takers NATA website – BOC prep/study guide Take the test when you are ready Not supported by statistics however…when are you honestly more likely to be focused? Does it make sense to take the exam during a time of the year when no AT jobs are really available?

Plan of Attack BGSUs ATP is only ONE component in the preparation process It is a two way street in terms of student prep 1 st time pass rates are not the end al be all You are taking this test for yourself…we are proud of your success not matter what Psychological factors play a HUGE role is how well you do
