WHO DOES THE CYBERBULLYING AFFECT?  The cyberbullying affecting society.  Anyone can be being damaged through the cyberbullying (Depends on situation)

RYAN HALLIGAN  Ryan Halligan: Poughkeepsie, New York  An autistic thirteen year old that's sweet as can be just trying to make it through the days became a prime target of cyberbullying. Going through his days, and like any boy, he had that one crush. This girl that he had his eye on, had stuck up for him for a while but soon became the main bully. She pretended to like him and then made fun of him and said, she would never like a guy like him. As his pain got worse, he had a pen pal that was encouraging him to end his life. Ryan became so hurt, the he hung himself. All because of cyber-bullies.

ARGENTINA AND WASHINGTON CYBERBULLYING  State and local lawmakers have taken action to prevent bullying and protect children. In Washington, the laws cover cyberbullying (in other no, like Montana) on the following groups: race, color, religion, ancestry, national origin, gender, sexual orientation and mental, physical, or sensory handicap.  Since 2008, Internet users in Argentina are protected by Law 26,388, which introduced computer crimes to national criminal code. However, there are gaps in the legislation.  The law is one of the most important problems associated with the Internet, such as identity theft, which gives an enabling pedophiles to contact children area and, of course, commit cyberbullying.

WHAT ARE THE CONSEQUENCES?  It cause significant emotional and psychological distress. In fact, just like any other victim of bullying, cyberbullied kids experience anxiety, fear, depression and low self-esteem.  But targets of cyberbullying also suffer from some unique consequences and negative feelings. Here are some common feelings cyberbullied teens and tweens often experience.

HOW CAN WE DEAL WITH THE PROBLEM OF CYBERBULLYING  If you're getting rude comments by instant messenger print them out and give them to your parents. They could contact the police if the messages are threatening or if there are so many of them that they could be considered to be harassment. Change your IM details and only give them to genuine friends. IGNORE IT
