Necessary Equipment - Personal protection: clean rubber gloves and a dust mask. - -clean cotton swabs, sterile water, clean/unused tweezers. - -clean swab box, and evidence tape to seal & prevent cross- contamination to maintain the chain of custody.
-rubber gloves, tweezers -never attempt to re-cap a needle or syringe. Just place the syringe into a “sharps” container, place a bio-hazard sticker on and seal with evidence tape.
Containers: Small boxes and jars (either glass or plastic). Disposable tweezers to collect: small objects, hair & fibers, and sharp objects. Pipettes are used to collect samples of liquid.
