A journey of a thousand miles, starts with just one step

Changing hearts and minds.. I have tried many ways to bring people round to my way of thinking. Especially with my own children. One that I found effective is for me to just take the child for a car ride and talk. Some say it's excitement of the journey, the vibration from the car, others say it's the time away from any distractions such as video games, computer, iPod, etc. Either way, my children usually calm down, consider my opinion and stop misbehaving after our car ride together. I've included a photo below of one of my sessions, in case you would like to use the technique.

"Vision without action is merely a dream. Action without vision just passes the time. Vision with action can change the world." Joel Barker

"Success is a journey, not a destination." Ben Sweetland

Creating a rich picture Give everyone a pen and encourage everyone to take part. No words allowed – only drawing. If you draw something you need to be able to explain WHY? – The reasons behind your contribution. You are allowed to add to someone else's idea but not to obliterate it – no crossing out.

What we're looking for: The VISION – Where we are going? What will it look like when we get there? What might the perfect destination look like? What are the potential hazards along the way.

Just around the corner…

Look back and look forward!

Be the change you want to see in the world. Ghandi
