Purpose of the Pathfinder club Enlarging the Pathfinder’s windows on the world and building a relationship with God are the dual objectives of Pathfinder club, which is designed for children ages 10-15. GC Youth Ministries Department How does the AY Program fit into the Pathfinder Goal? Provides a structure in which to reach the goal

It starts with the staff How many? 1 adult for every 10 pathfinder Training? Instructor track Environment?

Environment • Inspire and motivate learners. • Emphasize quality, not quantity, of learning. • Build on knowledge that has been gained in earlier levels. • Allocate time to practice new concepts and skills. • Aim for understanding rather than memorization. • Consider developmental and individual abilities of each Pathfinder. • Employ effective and flexible strategies to aid learning. • Use concrete and meaningful activities.
