ELAGSE7SL6: Adapt speech to a variety of contexts and tasks, demonstrating command of formal English when indicated as appropriate. I can present my informational essay to an audience.

Hook: Watch: (The Triple P Method)

Mini-Lesson Create a five block comic strip demonstrating the triple p method showing what you should do during a presentation. The Triple P Method: - Prepare, prepare, prepare - Posture and physicality -Pander (indulge or accommodate) your audience FYI – You do NOT need to include jokes when you present your informational essay : ). Hint: Devote a block to each “p” (3 blocks) and include an beginning block and ending block. This should equal 5 blocks for your comic strip.

Audience member assignment: As you watch the presentations, you need to…. 1.Write down the name of the holiday and tradition presented. 2.Provide one cool or interesting fact about the tradition presented You will do this for each holiday tradition presented. I will collect this as a classwork grade before you leave.

Closing Based on peer presentations, state one new thing you learned about holiday traditions.
