Western Balkans Six process The Western Balkans Conference in 2014 in Berlin provided a political framework for more intensive development of transport infrastructure and policy evolvement during 2015 –agreement by the Western Balkan six Prime Ministers in Brussels in April on the regional core transport network –list of infrastructure projects and soft measures to be implemented by 2020 as well as the appointment of corridor coordinators (Vienna Summit in August) Implementation of soft measures has a high priority committment on policy reform ("soft measures") taken at the highest level of Western Balkans countries need to deliver : soft measures as a condition for infrastructure

Conclusions Further development of SEETO network as a bridge between West and East –Political support and 1 billion EUR provided – WB6 initiative. –Corridor managament approach to the development of SEE Transport System. –Implementation of soft measures – “get more with less”. –Further promoting co-modality, energy efficient& environmentally friendly transport modes (SEE 2020 Strategy) –Involving private sector participation in SEETO WGs and other regional initiatives. –Continuous cooperation with RCC & regional bodies and instruments
