NPSTC is a federation of organizations whose mission is to improve public safety communications and interoperability through collaborative leadership. 30 EMS Working Group Emergency Medical Services Working Group– Paul Patrick, Chair –EMS Broadband Applications List was approved by NPSTC in November 2013 and transmitted to the FirstNet PSAC. –EMS WG also reviewed the law enforcement and fire/rescue applications list and assisted in combining the PSAC and NPSTC lists. That review was completed in May. –Currently studying Local Control issues involving broadband applications, and how Priority & QoS technology would work in real life. Surveyed 90 EMS professionals in August.

Law Enforcement, Fire, and EMS organizations would be permitted to roam across the border The update has been agreed to at the staff level and is currently in final review by both countries legal teams.

This addresses Scenario #2 and #3 in the NPSTC/CITIG report. –The FCC and Industry Canada are working to document the report that will provide guidance to licensees on how to file.
