Description of the project: Promote digital literacy in Mexico with a campaign based on the teaching of basic tasks to favor the population in the use of ICT, through variuos mechanisms for a greater learning and being trasmitted through a web site and social networks. Pedagogical approach: The strategies were focus through the mobilization of knowledges by generating a final product through achievements, for the development of generic competences. This activity required solving a real world problem as is digital iliteracy. The solution was implemented in the real world as it based on the teaching of simple ICT tasks and it was aimed at some specific contexts and audience: Adults and youth. - PDF tutorials so them could be printable or downloadable. - Infographics tutorials basically for young people, as infographics are very visually attractive - Video tutorials, auditory and visual tools, they are ones of the best options when it comes to learn some ICT skills. This activity benefits people other than the student This products lasts beyond the learning activity and can be used by an outside audience SELF REGULATION Their work was improve as they received feedback for their teachers and peers. Also because of people asking for tutorials on the website

Sitio Transformándonos en personas digitales Transformándonos en personas digitales Students designed an ICT product for an authentic audience This learning activity would be impractical without the use of ICT In the design of this product students focus on the needs and preferences of specific audiences.

The use of roles was esencial as each one of them had to be responsable for a task in order for the group to do its work because they worked together to produce a final product, The work was structured as the students needed to plan the project together

Students have done research and analysis of information and surveys about digital illiteracy in our country and Latinoamérica. Students analyzed the information to decide what could be done to solve the problem and help digital literacy. The project presents a solution targeted on specific audiences and contexts. Students advertised the campaign in schools, libraries, cyber cafes and radio. They presented the project in a science and technology fair in our city. However this project was not only put into practice for our city but for our country México thanks to the reach of social networks and hopefully this long term project will reach farther places. There are some organization that are helping us spread the campaing like Digital Poliforum, Solacyt, Injuv etc. This activity also have learning goals to language arts and literate subject.
