Introduction Usually prepositions are supposed to be rather unimportant as they are simply «small parts of a language». But they turn out to play a great part in our life. There are various kinds of prepositions in English language. Most of them are characterised as prepositions of place.

Prepositions of place in/out into/out of inside/outside on/under above/below in front of/behind up/down through/past and etc.

Verb + preposition + -ing form Som verbs can have a preposition after them. And sometimes we can use an -ing form after the prepositions: to appologize for making a mistake to think of going to Turkey to be tired of working to insist on tellingthe truth to be looking forward to hearing from you and etc.

Afterword So, as you can see prepositions are very important both in grammar and evryday life. Though they are short and sometimes unnoticable, we can not imagine our life without them. They make languages richer and it's really easy to deal with them learning as many prepositions and their meanings as it is possible. The main thing is: no language can exist without prepositions.
