REPORTING of:  Incidents  Safety Related Conditions  Annual Pipeline Summary Data

Incident means any of the following events: (1) An event that involves a release of gas from a pipeline, or of liquefied natural gas, liquefied petroleum gas, refrigerant gas, or gas from an LNG facility, and that results in one of the following consequences: Incident means any of the following events: (1) An event that involves a release of gas from a pipeline, or of liquefied natural gas, liquefied petroleum gas, refrigerant gas, or gas from an LNG facility, and that results in one of the following consequences: Proposed language

…results in one of the following consequences: (i) A death, or personal injury necessitating in-patient hospitalization; (ii) Estimated property damage of $50,000 or more, including loss to the operator and others, or both; Proposed language

…results in one of the following consequences: (iii) Estimated gas loss of 3,000 million cubic feet or more; (iv) An explosion or fire not intentionally set by the operator.

Part Subpart Section Paragraph Subparagraph

This Part prescribes requirements for the Transportation of Natural Gas and other gases by Pipeline

Scope Definitions Class Location Incorporation by Reference Outer Continental Shelf Petroleum Gas Systems

General Conversion Rules of Regulatory Construction Customer Notification

The limitations of Part 192

àWhere hydrocarbons are: Produced or First Separated, Dehydrated, or otherwise Processed Offshore Gathering of Gas Upstream from the Outlet Flange Each Facility Outer Continental Shelf

(4) Onshore gathering of gas— (i) Through a pipeline that operates at less than 0 psig (0 kPa); (ii) Through a pipeline that is not a regulated onshore gathering line (as determined in §192.8); and (iii) Within inlets of the Gulf of Mexico, except for the requirements in § ; or

Fewer than 10 customers and not located in a public place, or Single Customer located entirely on premises Propane or Propane/Air Systems:

Natural Gas, Flammable Gas, or Gas which is Toxic or Corrosive.

The gathering, transmission, or distribution of gas by pipeline, or the storage of gas in or affecting interstate or foreign commerce.

A person who engages in the transportation of gas.

A pipeline that transports gas from a current production facility to a transmission line or main.

Transports gas from a gathering line or a storage facility to a distribution center, storage facility, or Large Volume Customer that is not downstream from a distribution center; Operates at a hoop stress of 20% or more of SMYS; or Within a storage field

May receive similar volumes of gas as a distribution center, and includes factories, power plants, and institutional users of gas.

A Pipeline other than a Gathering Line or Transmission Line

A Distribution Line that serves as a Common Source of supply for more than one Service Line

A Distribution Line that Transports Gas from a Common Source of Supply to: an individual customer, to two adjacent or adjoining residential or small commercial customers, or to multiple residential or small commercial customers served through a meter header or manifold. A service line ends at the outlet of the customer meter or at the connection to a customer's piping, whichever is further downstream, or at the connection to customer piping if there is no meter.

means the device on a service line that controls the pressure of gas delivered from a higher pressure to the pressure provided to the customer. A service regulator may serve one customer or multiple customers through a meter header or manifold.

A Distribution system in which gas pressure in the main is higher than the pressure provided to the customer.

Pressure in the main is essentially the same as that delivered to the customer.

The maximum pressure at which a pipeline or segment of pipeline may be operated under this Part.

A specification listed in Section I of Appendix B of this Part (Qualification of Pipe) – Incorporated By Reference (IBR)

A pipeline system for distributing gas within, but not limited to, a definable area such as: Mobile Home Park Housing Project Apartment Complex Where the Operator Purchases Metered Gas from an Outside Source for Resale Supplies the "Ultimate Consumer" Where the Operator Purchases Metered Gas from an Outside Source for Resale

Any individual, firm, joint venture, partnership, corporation, association, State, municipality, cooperative assoc., or joint stock assoc., and includes trustee, receiver, assignee, or personal representative thereof.
