China is the fastest growing economy in the world

China is the world’s leading manufacturer. Many of the goods produced in China are sold by other companies to customers in the United States. US Immigration laws permit Chinese companies to establish branch offices in the United States to bring their goods and services directly to US consumers.

World’s largest national economy with largest purchasing power ($14.3 Trillion) Provides consumers with ability to pay higher prices for Chinese good and services. Most invested-into country in the world ($2.4 Trillion) The United States provides great advantages as a location for Chinese businesses:

Home to 139 of the world’s 500 largest companies. US dollar is the world’s most stable currency, holding 60% of world’s reserves.

The United States provides great advantages as a location for Chinese businesses: Recent US economic downturn provides better value on real estate investments. Provides higher return on investment when funds return to China.

The United States provides great advantages as a location for Chinese businesses: US is the world leader in opportunity, individual freedom for its citizens and those that legally reside there. The US is the best partner for China, its businesses and individuals

Example of how Chinese Companies and people utilize various US laws to come to America Mr. and Ms. Chung own Chung Ltd., which manufactures high quality fabrics in its factory in Zhuhai. Major companies like Versace, Yves St. Lauren, Nike and Ralph Lauren purchase a wide array of clothing from dresses, to sportswear to suits. Ms. Lei Chung is the Director of Marketing and face of the company. She has a university degree from Tongji University. She oversees design and marketing and is featured in magazines. Mr. Chi- Ching Chung is the Managing Director. He oversees production and distribution. Chung’s managers oversee a workforce of hundreds of designers, tailors and highly skilled workers that have implemented proprietary methods that the company has developed. International Textile Associations have awarded the company with awards, major trade journals and media have covered the Company, the Chungs and some of the workers in features.

Options and Solutions Chung Ltd. can establish a US Office in any city of it choice. It can transfer Mr. Chung as an executive or owner and/or Ms. Chung as manager or owner to oversee the company under the L-1 visa. It can transfer managers of personnel and divisions to the US office. It can transfer its specialized skill employees who design and use proprietary techniques to create the clothing. Spouses of the transferred workers can obtain work permits in any type of job. L-1 executives and managers can apply for Permanent Residency or Green Card under the EB-1 Multinational Executive visa after one year.

Options and Solutions Mr. and or Ms. Chung can invest in their business or other businesses in the United States to obtain Permanent Residency Visas for their family under the EB-5 Immigrant Investor Visa. Either $US1,000,000 or $US500, if in a high unemployment or rural area. Must hire 10 full time US or Permanent Resident employees within 2 years. May purchase real estate for the company as part of the investment. Purchasing undervalued property in US and placing job creating company in the property, can increase value of investment and create cash flow. Can use inventory as part of the investment. Can invest in EB-5 visa projects called Regional Centers

Options and Solutions Either Mr. or Ms. Chung may be able to establish they are extraordinary business people as they have won international awards, been the subject of major media and made significant contributions to their field. O-1 temporary and EB-1 Permanent Residency visas are for extraordinary ability individuals in the sciences, arts, education, business, or athletics. Must have risen to the top of the field with evidence in form of three of the following: International awards, membership in elite groups, articles by or about the applicant, significant contributions, serving on a panel or judge of the work of others, holding key positions in distinguished organizations or high salary

Options and Solutions As Ms. Chung has a university degree she may also be eligible for the H-1b visa. H-1b’s are for professionals and are usually granted in 3 year increments for a total of six years. Must be offered a job from a US company that requires the same or similar degree and will pay the prevailing wage in salary. H-1b visas can be adjusted to permanent residence. If the permanent process is initiated by the fifth year, the H-1b visa can be extended during the process. H-1b’s can be used in many different professions.
