June, 2015 LCS Updates NetBIOS support has been added. Enterprise Portal reliability improvements have been made. New 2 step process deletes the deployment info in LCS as well as the Azure resources Phase 1 – Shuts down the environment. Can restart after complete to recover. Phase 2 – Deletes all the deployed resources When deploying an environment, you can add the environment to an existing Active Director/virtual network. Deleting an environment does NOT delete any resource that the Cloud-hosted environment tool did not deploy. Azure and Privacy – Data Flows Data flows according to the tools you use. We collect AGGREGATED transactional data of example of load, usage time, service use etc. None of this is traceable to the individual users and no content data is collected Microsoft have NO access to the data in your project, documents, project processes, system profiler. Only you can grant access to the project and the project information by invitation. System profiler data will be used in the infrastructure estimator, but only estimated transaction lines, changes, reports etc. that you have uploaded yourself.

Azure and Privacy – Controlling Data The usage data is collected in an aggregated form to Microsoft automatically. Other information like system diagnostics is only available to persons with access to the project. When you upload data for modifications e.g. model stores then these are only used when importing them into the Azure instance. When they have been used they are automatically deleted. Data transmitted to Microsoft is controlled and governed by several standards, ISO/IEC 27018, ISO/IEC 27001/27002:2013 among others.

Azure and Privacy – What kind of data is transmitted? Usage data “in aggregate” like Use of services, how are you accessing these services? which parts of the services are you using? When you upload files from the System Diagnostic tools this will be technical information about your instance, sizing, applications, error codes etc. These are only stored to upload, after use these are deleted NO Content data is collected by Microsoft and Microsoft cannot log into a project, only you have the credentials. Error dumps can be uploaded to the cloud for analysis. These will only be used in the analysis and then they are deleted. You can see the error file for information on what is collected.
