Human Resources Recruit all City positions (full-time/part-time), lead agency on F.I.R.E. consortium recruitment, recruit for Carson City Convention & Visitor’s Bureau and the Carson Water Sub-conservancy District Manage classification/compensation plan and onboard all new hires Responsible for the development and implementation of City-wide policies and procedures Participate in labor negotiations, administer grievances through arbitration and administer unemployment claims Maintain labor relations- interpret labor contracts, employee recognition, etc Manage harassment claims Strategic partner for financial decisions/recommendations made at the Internal Finance Committee Publish a monthly newsletter for City employees and retirees Provide employment law guidance to City Departments/Offices Assist with worker’s compensation issues, NDOT requirements and risk/liability issues
