 Welcome and Introductions  Good News!  Program Principles and Values  Program Overview  Exploring the Art of Possibility

Unknown “A wise person once said, The bad news is that you can’t have it all. The good news is that when you know what’s really important, you don’t want it all anyway. “

GOAL Provide a relevant and learner centered leadership development experience that results in growth and facilitates personal change. CELEBRATE PROGRESS Program Principles and Values  Build on our learning community.  Continue to explore relevant leadership theory and practice.  Engage in constructive dialogue.  Respect and value differences.  Challenge assumptions.  Enhance the opportunity for continued personal/professional growth.  Explore the future and embrace change.  Facilitate personal/professional success.

 Take one of the 10 principles/values assigned.  Address how and why you feel this principle/value matters.  What might we do as a community to ensure we truly embrace these principles and values on a routine basis?  Report back on your key observations.

Karen Kaiser Clark “Life is change. Growth is optional. Choose wisely” "The Secret of change is to focus all of your energy, not fighting the old, but building on the new." -Socrates

 Do you know what success looks like?  Do you know what success feels like?

The number one reason why people give up so fast is they tend to look at how far they still have to go, rather than how far they gotten.

1. Confidentiality. 2. NO Rank in the Room. 3. Appreciate, Participate, Respect. 4. Stay on Track, Be on Time. 5. Avoid Interruptions. (Cell phones) 6. Active Listening. 7. Give Freely of Your Experience. 8. Keep an Open Mind. 9. Stay Engaged. (Work?, Meetings?, Personal?) 10. Have FUN!

Got a great idea or an important issue, but it just doesn’t relate or fit into the conversation? Post it on the board for a later time. ISSUE BIN

 What should the focus be of an Advanced Leadership Development Program?  If you were to design one what would be the key elements?  What would you like the outcome to be for such a program?  How would you measure success?
